Amazing Han Dynasty Population Map

I was terribly excited to share this here. The map is of Han China ca.140 AD following a national census. It’s broken down by both Province (deep red) and commandery/prefecture (pink), and I was just amazed at the level of exactitude. Changshan’s population is missing: It’s 631,184 Link to full-sized image is HERE Credit goes to Paradox Interactive forum user “Fornadan” and user “Jolt”

The map itself was done using the Historical Atlas of China borders. The map’s population distribution is more or less the same population numbers that existed at the start of the Three Kingdoms Period.

Here’s a political map made by the same duo.  Great job!
